Mr Ahmad has been teaching various medical courses at the University of Western Australia since 2013. During 2020, Mr Ahmad will deliver (three times throughout the year) a course that he has written and convened himself.

His course is built on conclusions drawn from his master's degree, which is aimed at developing Junior Doctors within the field of laparoscopic surgery. The course provides a competency framework synthesised with a suite of educational resources that have been designed to promote flexible and self-directed learning. Additional assessment opportunities are provided to record and log procedural experiences as well as record evidence of personal achievements. Mr Ahmad's course aims to ensure that doctors entering any procedural specialty program are well prepared and clinically competent in their field of postgraduate study.
